With the election for Youth Governor quickly coming to an end, Political Parties are scrambling to sign up more delegates with their parties. More delegates registered gives parties more money that can help push campaigns over the finish line and get their candidates elected.

As of 2:51 on February 18, 2017, only 2,083 of over 3,000 delegates were registered with a party, according to high level officials who wish to remain anonymous. This number does not include those planning on voting unaffiliated.

At this time, 654 delegates were signed up for the Office Party, 541 delegates were signed up for the Delta Party, 501 were signed up for the Sunrise Party, and 387 delegates were signed up for the Launch Party.

From this information, it is clear that the Office party has a significant lead over the other parties, which may translate to the Office Party’s candidate, Senayt Tassew, being one of the top two candidates.

Of course, a lot can change in a day. With the numbers in constant motion as delegates switch their party affiliations, there’s no telling what will happen at the Governor’s Banquet tomorrow night.
